The Medical Swedish AFO is an affordable ankle / foot support, Designed for Flaccid Foot Drop, especially on post stroke patients. It is an injection-moulded polypropylene splint that can be quickly and efficiently trimmed to size with a pair of ordinary scissors, eliminating the need for a heat gun. This Support utilizes a low arch and open heel that gives it a more streamlined profile that fits into virtually any shoe. Injection moulded polypropylene allows for different thickness throughout the orthosis, for example being thicker on the vertical aspect for rigidity and thinner footplate for trim ability. The extra padding on the calf section allows for extra comfort and a Velcro calf strap secures the Swedish AFO around the calf.
The Swedish AFO comes in sizes extra small to extra-large in both left and right, based on shoe size. Its size and design make it ideal for both men and women.
